A Dangerous right by our constitution.

"Everyone shall have the right to freedom of expression; this right shall include freedom to seek, receive and impart information and ideas of all kinds, regardless of frontiers, either orally, in writing or in print, in the form of art, or through any other media of his choice".
This is the right given to us by the constitution of india..which now is only misused by people in democratic india.
Now..according to me freedom of speech and expression means that each and every individual has the right to express his views, thoughts, opinions and suggestions related to a particular social problem or their needs which as a whole can bring about peace, harmony and unity in the society.the right to vote can be the best example of freedom of speech and expression.
It helps an individual to attain self-fulfillment. It assists in the discovery of truth.
It strengthens the capacity of an individual in participating in decision-making. All members of society would be able to form their own beliefs and communicate them freely to others.

but now-a-days this right is misused by people...this right does not mean that a person can say anything to anyone..which may hurt his/her feelings, or damage his/her reputation..
Taking into account the side effects of this right, the international covenant of civil and political rights has brought some restrictions on the rights saying:
(a) For respect of the rights or reputations of others; (b) For the protection of national security or of public order (order public), or of public health or morals.
our constitution has given us this right which can bring a revolution in the society...it is on us how to make the best of it.
